The 12 Volt Power Adaptor is used to provide quick connection using long direct power cords of radar detectors and photo radar products, such as the Speed Camera Defense. Most long power cords require connection into the fuse box, but some people simply want a long power cord and a quick connection of the long power cord into the 12 volt power outlet. For radar detectors, run the long power cord around the windshield, plug into the radar detector, connect the red 12 volt lead to the red screw post, and connect the black ground lead to the black screw post of this power adaptor, and plug into the 12 volt power outlet. Done! For photo radar and Speed Camera Defense products, install the photo radar on the license plate, plug the power cable into the Cockpit Power Control Cable, connect the red 12 volt lead to the red power adaptor post, and connect the black ground lead to the black screw post of this power adaptor, and plug into the 12 volt power outlet. Done!
