Easy to Install

The Beltronics STi-R Remote Radar Detector is traditionally installed on the front grille or behind the front or rear bumper. It is better hidden on the sun visor using our visor holder or behind the rear view mirror. It can detect radar through a plastic bumper or a fiberglass fender. The radar module is located at a desired hidden location in the front and back of your vehicle, while the cables are routed up into the cockpit for voice alerts and Dual LED displays and quick reference card.

For vehicles with Cambus power control such as Audi, Mercedes, Chrysler 2008 and newer; hardwire the APC 12 Vdc to 5A Interior Rear View Mirror tap in the fuse box. All other vehicles, connect 12Vdc to Cigarette Power line.

Check out the small STi-R radar detector display. If you want to really do this right, have your installer locate the display behind your speedo dash, such that when the display is off, nobody even knows what's in your car. When it is on, the Display shows the normal bootup displays and all the alert information - from behind your sppedo display. Install the small control unit into the dash or your center console. If your guy can not do this, WE CAN!

What the heck. Drive out to Boulder and Denver CO area, and we will install your system correctly. Go on vacation while we do it up, and come back with a really trick installation and maximum radar and laser performance.

Installation/Tips

The Bel STi-R Radar Detector is easily located in the front grille, under the front bumper, or behind a plastic, foam core bumper. Another very nice location is up on a ski rack or luggage rack.

The LED display faces straight back, making the STi-R Remote radar detector useful in USA, Canada, New Zealand, Hong Kong, South America and Central America.
