When a speed camera photographs your license plate, the image is emailed to a photo processing center, where a Character Recognition program is used to identify the letters and numbers of your plate, then match the registration to a person and address; and finally they mail a ticket to that person at the registered address. But if you use the C100 Speed Camera Detector, it will alert to photo radar traps and red light camera traps.
