Performance

The Beltronics GX65 radar detector is an excellent windshield mounted radar detector. It can detect the Ka police radar band, the most used radar band today, at 10 miles. The sensitivity is superb to detect weak signals from hidden “over-the-hill” radar traps and hidden, “around-the-curve” radar traps. Average radar detectors do not provide this level of sensitivity.

The SWS detector alerts (special K band safety alerts) when turned on and selected, will alert you to road hazards and construction; if the SWS transmitter technology is used by road crews and ambulances.

POP3 K and Ka band radar alerts are easily detected, but if you wish to turn POP3 off, it is easy to do. POP 3 radar is a very short radar burst of energy (67millisecond. The Photo Speed Trap Alerts are outstanding. The GX65 comes loaded with fixed photo speed trap locations, but you can optionally update new GPS locations each year.

Laser – The Bel detects laser from the windshield. If you want more complete laser protection, buy the Laser Blinder M25 or M45 laser jammer and install the products into the grille, where the police aim laser guns.
