Here is a very good installation of an M20, which was recently replaced by the m25 laser jammer.  The M20 was installed on a 1998 A6 Audi Quattro. "Customer Input" The job took roughly three hours to look clean. No drilling for the led, which was installed inside the cockpit. The wires just fed right up the seams of the dash panel.
