Blinder International, manufacturer of the laser jammer called Blinder M27 and laser jammer called Blinder M47, filed suit in New York, NY, federal court on 25 August 2009 against Clifford M. Crane, owner and operator of Laser Interceptor, USA. Blinder had been threatening this action for some time. We are waiting to see where the law suit is headed, but no details as yet. Blinder International's patent refers to 'look up tables' and 'generic jamming' algorithms, which are used in the laser jammers presently offered, Blinder M47 and Blinder M27, to jam police speed laser guns. The desired affect is to reduce the display of jam codes on the laser guns; i.e. to jam the laser gun in stealth mode through the use of a laser jammer. Laser Interceptor uses a 'look up table' and generic jamming.

How will the lawsuit affect sales and service of Laser Interceptor products? I am curious why Laser Interceptor, Croatia has not been challenged as well, as LI Croatia is the manufacturer of Laser Interceptor. Blinder settled out of court allowing LI to sell products in the USA. So much for all the accusations!

The Blinder and LI are the two best laser jammers. Which one is best. LI has more power, but if the FDA finds out, then LI will likely have problems, as they are well past eye safety. Blinder uses Infrared LEDs, 32 in quantity on a Blinder M47, which is equivalent to the LI power, but Blinder does not have an eye safety concern and does not have the heat related failures that the LI has.
