| Many professionals and radar/laser experts attend the annual SML product performance test. Rocky Mountain Radar is located in El Paso, Texas, where the annual tests are conducted. RMR has thus far not participated in the annual tests conducted by Speed Measurement Labs. I know SML staff would appreciate RMR showing SML and El Paso police how the RMR products can meet the radar and laser scrambling claims. |

| RMR-C450 Passive Radar and Laser Scrambler is one of RMR's top of the line products; wth claims to scramble radar and laser. SML proved it could not scramble radar or laser guns used in actual highway road tests the by El Paso Police in June 2005. |

| This is the new RMR Laser-Stik Laser Scrambler. Speed Measurement Labs tested it against a variety of laser guns used in the USA, but it did not scramble any speed readings of any laser guns used in the SML test in June 2005. |

Speed Measurement Labs tests radar and laser products every year: radar guns, laser guns, radar detectors, radar jammers, laser jammers and radar scramblers and this year a new laser scrambler. The objective of the test is to identify which product has the best performance in a variety of test conditions. The RMR-C450, a top of the line passive radar/laser scrambler, and a new Laser-Stik Scrambler. Both products were tested by Speed Measurement Labs, and both products failed to meet the claims of scrambling radar and/or laser, as applicable to each product. So why do people buy products where 3rd party, independent highway tests prove the RMR-C450 can not meet claims to scramble laser and radar guns, and the Laser-Stik can not meet claims to scramble laser. The RMR-C450 has clear product claims. Here are several important C450 claims: -- Scrambles All Radar Bands (X, K, Ka, SuperWide, Instant-On, Pulse) -- Scrambles All Lidar Guns (LTI 20-20, Pro-Laser, Laser-Lyte, Stalker) -- VG-2/VG-3 undetectable Two of the primary claims a customer would buy the RMR-C450 were proven false by SML in actual highway tests. The 3rd claim noted on the RMR Web site in June 2005, "VG3 undetectable" is confusing, as there is no such thing as VG3 radar detector detectors. There are VG2, VG4 and Spectre II and Spectre III Radar Detector Detectors. So is it a mis-print by the manufacturer? If so, why isn't it corrected? The new RMR Laser-Stik product was tested by Speed Measurement Labs. It claims to "scramble all Lidar Guns". Speed Measurement labs tested the Laser-Stik against a variety of laser guns used in the USA, but the Laser-Stik did not jam any of the laser guns. Well, if you Guys and Gals buy passive products, you get what you pay for. Sales@1stRadarDetectors.com |
