User Friendliness

Some people want a "Front Only" protection with compact radar and laser components. If your vehicle has limited space and you want the best radar and laser protection to fit tight locations, this is it!

The PRS3-E Remote includes the Escort SR7 radar detector. The Passport SR7 remote is a compact remote radar detector.

You can drive down the highway with the knowledge that you have an excellent hidden, radar detector with front radar detection, and nobody can see what you have! The SR7 will detect X, K, Ka Superwide and Laser. You can select different modes of operation for your highway driving. Operation is for North, South and Central America.

The Escort SR-7 incorporates the latest varactor tuned oscillators from Escort Radar to provide excellent Over the Hill radar detection of weak Ka and K band signals. It provides superb radar alerts before you get to the top of a hill and find a radar trap hidden "Over the Hill". Two cockpit displays are provided to tell you wiich radar band has been encountered, the strength of the signal (how close it is) and voice alerts to get your immediate attention. The Radar bands (X, K, Ka, Laser) is also indicated for Front alerts.

The Blinder M25 Laser Blocker is outstanding, and there is no laser gun that can penetrate the front of your vehicle.

Performance

The PRS3E Prowler Remote system is an excellent system for remote radar detection, laser jamming.

The Escort SR7 Radar Detectorcan detect the Ka radar band, the most used radar band today, at 8 miles when installed at the correct exterior location on the vehicle. The sensitivity is superb to detect weak signals from hidden "over the hill" radar traps and hidden "around the curve" radar traps. Average radar detectors do not provide this level of sensitivity.

The Passport SR-7 Remote is excellent at filtering out false noise alerts.

Radar - We road tested the Passport SR7 on a 1000 mile road trip. The Escort SR7 proved identical in performance to the RX-75. Installing the Passport SR7 at a good location is important. Installing any radar detector as high as possible in the vehicle improves its capability to detect radar. During our road testing, we logged a typical 8 mile distance detection of Ka radar. This is some of the best detection sensitivity.

False alerts were minimized by turning off X band radar detection, but we also discovered that some police are resorting back to X band radar, knowing that many drivers turn X band off. We suggest that you drive with X band on, just in case.

The SR7 radar detector does not alert to POP3. We recommend Highway X to be turned off. This permits fewer false noise alerts and allows the superb detection sensitivity to be used for your protection.

Laser - We tested the Laser Blinder M25 at Speed Measurement Labs for distance of jam, Jam to gun performance, punch through, etc. Please review the test results to get details of this superb Laser Blinder protection. Speed Measurement Labs confirmed the Blinders were more than capable at defeating a variety of laser guns...Best in Test.
