If you want to really do this right, have your installer locate the display in your dash, so that when the display is off, nobody even knows what's in your car. When it is on, the Escort 9500ci Display shows the normal bootup displays and all the alert information - from behind your sppedo display. Install the small control unit into the dash or your center console.
