The Phantom RCD™ XP and Scorpion Radar Jammers are identical in design and performance. They are active radar jammers tested and proven by Speed Measurement Labs to jam X and K analog radar guns, as well as K band digital radar guns. The Phantom RCD is no longer available. The Scorpion proved to have punch-through weakness at about 750 feet distance, as compared to the previous Phantom RCD punch-through at a typical 250 feet distance (Scorpion is 3x worse), and the Scorpion could not jam instant on radar. It is designed as a remote installation, but the modules are not water tight, and the enclosures leave a lot to be desired in looks.
State Police are using X band again because so many motorists have been shutting off X band detection to reduce highway noise.
