Jamie, I received the STi Driver radar detector and it works just fine. As fate would have it, I didn't actually get to test it out on a cross-country trip. However, it saved me from a ticket while in Southern California, cruising downhill on a seemingly deserted stretch of highway. I was unable to see the police car that was lying in wait, hidden behind trees and brush, until I was right on top of him. Luckily, the STi Driver made making visual contact before taking evasive action unnecessary. The Officer had either K or Ka band (I forget which one) and it was lighting up my STi like a Christmas tree well before I got in trouble. Thanks for all your help. By the way, I should also add that I still had the strip of protective plastic covering the sensors in the front of the STi when this incident occurred. I realized my gaffe much later. But I guess it just goes to show you how good the STi is.

I bought a Blinder M25 and installed on my Mazda RX-8. At one point the Blinder went off. It was so loud, I was startled and slowed down thinking there was something wrong with the electronics with my car. Sure enough, about a 1/4 mile ahead, a NJ state trooper was lurking with his laser gun on the side of the road. I never got pulled over. Since then, my Blinder M25 has sounded off 5 more times. All NJ State Troopers, and one NY State Trooper - some at night, and some in the day time. In all cases, I never saw the police before the Blinder alerted me. Thanks for the Blinder. JB
